When Love Has No Beginning

According to Ama, love did not arrive with certainty. It came quietly, the way rain begins before you realize the ground is already wet. There was no moment she could trace it back to, no first step, no clear before and after. It felt as though it had been growing long before she had the courage to name it.

She noticed it in small ways. In how your absence felt heavier than she expected. In how your presence softened her thoughts. In how her heart leaned toward you without asking her permission. She didn't plan it. She didn't invite it. It simply happened.

Ama questioned herself often. She wondered how something so gentle could feel so deep. She searched for reasons—something logical, something solid—but love refused to explain itself. It wasn't loud or demanding. It didn't rush her. It stayed patient and steady, quietly claiming space in her heart.

There were moments she resisted it, afraid of what it meant to care this much without knowing why. But even then, love did not leave. It waited. It grew in silence. By the time she understood what was happening, her heart had already chosen.

According to Ama, some loves do not begin the way stories say they should. They don't start with fireworks or promises. They begin before awareness, before certainty, before words. And maybe that is why they feel so real—because they are not born from decision, but from truth.

She still cannot say when it started. She only knows that one day she looked inward and realized love had been there all along.
